About Me
About Me
I was born and raised in Burbank! I attended Roosevelt Elementary, Luther Burbank Junior High, and John Burroughs High School. I graduated JBHS in 1987. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I attended Pasadena City College then transferred to UC Santa Cruz where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. I earned my California Teaching Credential from CSUN and began teaching at JBHS in 1993. Over the years I've taught World History (Regular and Honors), US History (Regular and AP), Government, Psychology, Economics, and AP Economics (both Micro and Macro!) I received my Master of Arts degree in Economic Education and Entrepreneurship from the University of Delaware. I have been a Reader (scoring AP Exam FRQ's) for the College Board for the past ten years.
I live in Burbank with my dog. I love to read, walk my dog, garden, swim, practice yoga, and travel. I have traveled to Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, France, Monaco, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Italy.
